- holder of a Category C license for at least 12 months,
- minimum age of 21,
- at least 500 jumps,
- written recommendation from a training center manager, examiner, or CAA inspector,
- written confirmation of participation (as an observer) in basic training instruction (can be static line or AFF method).
- participation in another instructor's training for tasks 1-14 or 52-58,
- ability to work in a pair during freefall,
- ability to conduct training within the minimum scope of the "CATEGORY A" PARACHUTIST TRAINING syllabus.
- knowledge of the Civil Aviation Act and other related regulations, including directives, to the extent necessary for sport parachuting,
- jump theory,
- meteorology,
- training methodology,
- knowledge of parachute equipment and devices,
- demonstration of theoretical instruction.
- performing the duties of a jumpmaster, including dispatching at least 6 skydivers,
- four jumps in the role of an instructor during freefall while practicing basic RW skills, task 15 or tasks 101-109,
- packing main parachutes, including performing packing checks,
- performing a skydiver gear check.
A prerequisite for entering the course is theoretical knowledge of teaching methods at least to the extent of basic parachuting and sport training up to category “A”, specifically tasks 1-18. During the course, candidates will refine their application of individual teaching techniques and become familiar with current training trends both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The following topics will be specifically covered during the course:
- laws and regulations directly or indirectly affecting parachuting activities,
- V-PARA regulations,
- instructor responsibilities,
- theory, techniques, and methods of instruction,
- basics of psychology,
- structure and method of basic training instruction,
- basic meteorology,
- parachute control theory,
- basic knowledge of materials and equipment,
- packing student parachutes,
- student evaluation techniques,
- first aid basics.
