What to Bring to a Tandem Skydive

For a tandem skydive, wear comfortable sportswear and sports shoes such as trainers. We lend you a jumpsuit and skydiving goggles at the airport free of charge, and a balaclava and gloves when it is cold. Payment is in cash only, and you need to arrive 45 minutes before your jump.

What to Wear

For a tandem skydive, we recommend comfortable sports clothing and suitable sports shoes, such as sneakers or trainers.

Over your own clothes you get a tandem jumpsuit, which we help you put on at the airport.

What We Lend You at the Airport

For your tandem skydive, we will lend you a jumpsuit and skydiving goggles free of charge, plus a hood and gloves if the weather is cold.

Can I Jump with Glasses or Contact Lenses?

Prescription glasses are not a problem. We provide special skydiving goggles that can be worn over regular glasses to protect your eyes from airflow. Contact lenses are also safe to wear during the skydive.

What to Bring with You

  • comfortable sportswear and trainers
  • cash – card payments are not possible at the airport or at our Brno office
  • prescription glasses or contact lenses, if you wear them

No, a medical certificate is not required to participate in a tandem skydive.

When to Arrive at the Airport

Arrive at the airport 45 minutes before your jump and check in at the JUMP-TANDEM reception. The ground briefing with your instructor takes about 20 minutes. The whole day is described step by step on the page How a Tandem Skydive Works.

Who Can Do a Tandem Skydive

The following conditions apply to a tandem skydive: the maximum weight of a tandem passenger is 110 kg (up to 115 kg by arrangement and for a surcharge) and the minimum age is 8. Anyone under 18 may take part in a jump only with the consent of a legal guardian. However, the jump is not suitable for people with epilepsy, serious heart conditions or severe mental disabilities. For jumps from 6 km these conditions are stricter - the maximum weight is 95 kg and the permitted age range is 18 - 50.

What If the Weather Is Bad

We carefully monitor the weather forecast at all times. If the forecast is unfavorable, we will contact you to let you know that the tandem skydive cannot take place and arrange an alternative date. Even with the best and most accurate evaluation of the weather data, the weather may still change suddenly on the day of the jump, making a safe jump impossible – possibly even after you have arrived at the airport.

Answers to other questions are in the frequently asked questions; prices and packages are in the tandem skydive price list.
